You are cordially invited to your life.  Not that you needed this invitation, but it is important for you to be present in your life, otherwise what good is it?

It doesn’t matter how long you actually live, sure it is great to live a long life, but what is most important is how you live your life.  And it is your life indeed, you have the power to make your life the best that it can be.

So, I invite you to participate in your life! Get off that couch and go out!  Take time to spend time with the ones you love.  GO OUT and explore your town… spend time doing things that don’t cost you lots of money.  Take walks, go to the Library, go to the museum… go and make great and lovely memories!

I know it gets said often, and is mostly an overused statement, but when you are at the end of your life and look back; do you think you’ll say “Gee, I wish I sat around more doing nothing” or “I wish I was able to have worked more.”  No, you most likely won’t. So live that life of yours with what you will likely want to have done more of… the “I wish I spent more time with my wife”, or “I wish I spent more time with my children”, or even “I wish I spent more time with friends and those I love.”  Believe me, life is way too short, and fleeting to hope that things will turn out right all on their own… you need to be the captain of your ship.

Don’t forget to take care of the one thing you have, the thing you really do own.  Your body.  Oh man, is it so easy to become lazy!  I mean, with food that’s frozen and just ready to pop in the microwave, or pre-packaged meals that only need water added to them? C’mon, this body of your’s needs to be in shape for the long haul.  Drop the cookies and crap… ditch the soda, the fast fat food that we are sold on every day!

And with entertainment piped right into your home, with 500 fabulous channels showing you how badly people can act on reality shows, or how other people live their lives…  it’s so easy, very easy to just veg… I didn’t ever think that we could ever be addicted to living our lives through those who choose to expose their lives on television.

Go be the star of your own reality show! If you are out of shape, and overweight… become the winner of your own biggest loser show!  Are you a single person looking for love? Well, you can be the bachelor, or bachelorette…  You will never get voted off the island, or your own show…

Don’t totally isolate yourself from people in your own community! Take the moment while you are walking around to say hello to people… help that person who is having problems getting the groceries into their car. Be kind.  Unfortunately long gone are the days where everyone knows everyone else who lives around them… it’s sad.

Take a moment or two to really compliment those around you, your spouse, partner, boyfriend/girlfriend, children… you get it. Just a kind word or two goes a really long way.

“The future belongs to those who believe in their dreams” – That’s a poster that I have on my office wall.  And how true is that?  Dream, but don’t just sit around waiting for UPS to deliver your dream to you… it won’t happen!

Be proactive in your life;  Make things happen for you, don’t wait around and let things happen to you.

Engage, Experience, Enjoy….
