Today after 1pm Pacific time, searchers who were looking for Chelsea King found a body near Lake Hodges in what was reported to be a shallow grave.  At the time of this writing they have not confirmed whether or not it is Chelsea… (update, they have confirmed it)

Words cannot do justice to how horrible this whole incident has been for Chelsea’s parents, family, friends, school mates and the entire Poway community.

They have arrested a known sexual predator in relation to the case, who is now also suspected in other incidents in the area. My mind is hard pressed trying to understand why we let known violent sexual predators to live in our communities. I hope all of this will force our legislators to pass some effective laws to keep these people off the streets and away from our loved ones.

I truly feel as though society has let not only Chelsea King down, but all of us.
