The Internet is amazing, computers have gotten so cheap, and have so many different features, one of which is that you can publish your own news cast, rant or what not on YouTube or any similar service.

And people are doing it more and more.  I bet you’re sitting there thinking “Hey, I want to be a news anchor!  I’ve got the looks, I have a great persona.. Oh, but I don’t work at a TV station… bummer”  OR you might be thinking “I want to sing and have people hear me and see me sing… Oh, but I can’t get someone to put me on TV”  OR you might be thinking “I know what’s wrong with this country, or my little hamlet and I need to share that with people… I need to have my own Television show!!!!”

Yep, you’re probably not thinking any of that.  I haven’t caught myself thinking those things either.  BUT if you do want to do the above, or any other kind of web-cam recording, your first place to go would be to a site called On Cam Tips.  My friend Dave Courvoisier put this together and has done a fine job.  He is and has been a TV News anchor for a while, so he KNOWS his stuff.  But with all that he does at the TV station, plus all the things he does with social networking I’m beginning to think he rarely sleeps, or is in fact an alien, or a robot.  (Just kidding Dave.. you the man!)
