Just a little while ago, I was looking for some kind of really cool way to relieve myself of the spammers who are just hammering this blog site. Of course I have the arsenal of WP tools, anti spam plug-ins and so on, but it just seems that they are constantly registering and trying their best to add comments that are spam in nature.

Such a crappy way to have to spend time, chasing after spammers rather than writing productive posts.

So in order to slow them down a bit, I have added, or rather changed the way that you can log in to this blog. You don’t need to register here, but you can use your Google, Yahoo, Facebook, or other federated Open-ID user-name/password to log in to the blog. Pretty cool if you ask me.

Of course if you already have a username (like I set up an account for you to contribute to the blog) don’t log in using an OpenID account, log in using the account I set up for you.

For the rest of you, enjoy the freedom of just logging in via the more popular OpenID providers such as Google, Yahoo, AOL, or OpenID itself.
